The Dance Theatre at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center was packed on Friday night for a screening and discussion of the documentary Things We Imagined.
Created by filmmakers and higher education scholars Candace Hall and Charles H.F. Davis III, Things We Imagined sheds light on the experiences of Black faculty in higher education. With testimony from more than 30 Black scholars from campuses across the country, including multiple faculty members from the University of Maryland, the documentary gives a raw look into the reality of being Black in the white-dominated field of higher education.
